In today's vlog we head out to Disney Springs to meet up with some friends for dinner at The Boathouse and do a little perusing around the Springs and take a ride on the Train with Jackson! We also add in some clips from the Celebration Car Show where we went to the After Hours Party but weren't able to film there, we hope you enjoyed seeing all the cool cars tho! They had some really awesome cars there! We also head back home and try the key lime pie m&ms and talk about Jackson's new sleeping schedule. We're so so excited that he's sleeping through the night! We hope you had fun hanging out with us today! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

  • Catching up on videos. With Jackson and trying to get him more comfortable with other children his age and playing and interacting there are programs, not daycare, that you can bring him to. I know that he isn’t going to daycare but there are activities, I think there’s like a tumbling class and of course other classes/activities that are meant for children his age to attend. I think they meet once or twice a week. The parent goes with them and is there the whole time. I think it’s like an hour or two. It allows children of the same age to get together in a constructive activity and learn how to be around others their age. There are parents who do not like daycare and I can understand that point of view. For me, both of my children had to go to daycare because my husband and I both worked outside the home. I think it’s fantastic if you’re able to have your children with you at home and not have to worry about daycare. I would say one advantage with children in daycare is that they do have to learn how to interact with others. They have to learn how to share and what they can do and what they can’t do, boundaries. It definitely is harder for a child who is at home all day with adults and not around any other children to fully understand boundaries and sharing. For an only child at home they basically get what they want when they want it. We are all that way with our first one. A little class that’s once or twice a week that you can go with him for an hour so gets to introduce him to a new experience. I do realize right now with the pandemic that you have to be a little bit more careful. Everybody is getting their vaccines right now. Things should be getting back to normal here pretty shortly. Of course the most important thing is to make sure that everybody, especially your little one, is safe and healthy.

  • Jackson hasn't been around other kids. Ever. He will learn from mom and dad what the boundaries of social interaction require of him. All children learn this. He won't be a brat because mom and dad care about others. Jax will learn to care for others. He will.

  • Going to add my voice to the chorus-Jackson is right on target in terms of little guy behavior and development. Right where he should be. My hubs is a pediatric OT and I am a behaviorist and therapist. The climbing on dad is totally normal stuff. It’s actually giving him safe opportunities to use his balance and motor planning skills. He will learn to manage people and crowds and what is appropriate and not so much. The more you take him out the more exposure and experience he will get. He’s a little sponge right now. He’s absorbing everything he sees and hears and experiences. The social customs will come. Right now he’s just feeling all of it. literally and figuratively. He’s such a blessed and beloved little boy. He’s going to continue to be absolutely brilliant in all things. Way to go Trackers! He’s happy and curious and not afraid. Which is exactly where he is supposed to be!!!! ❤️

  • I was thinking about how y'all said this is the first time that Jackson has played with someone his age. It's been a different time for socializing kids normally you would have been at like library story times and friends birthday parties and all kinds of other things. It doesn't sound like anything he was doing was out of the spectrum of normal kid behavior but just don't be too hard on yourselves and kids learn quickly like you were saying!!

I think it’s pretty common, he’s also an only child. Jackson will learn with time how to interact with other kids and what’s ok and not. Especially if you put him in preschool.

  • Hi, this was nice. The car showing was cool. My Dad and I used to go to those type of things when I was a teenager, fun. Jackson is so cute smiling on the train. Hopefully he will make new friends easily. My Mom told me I was like that when I was little, when we went on vacation I was more interested in the flowers and leaves, than the other things around us. She said I grew out of that around 3 years old. Also, when I was little I would climb on and play around with my Dad and Uncles until I was 5 or 6 years old. We have pictures of me playing that way. Great memories for my parents. They said when I was around new kids and strangers they would just explain to me that family is ok to touch and climb on, but not other people. They said I understood that around 3 years old , so I wouldn't worry about Jackson doing those things. Just thought I'd mention that. Disney Springs is great, I miss all of Disney, can't wait for May of 2022. Anyway, this was great. Thanks. Be Safe Take Care ❤️❤️❤️.

  • I definitely wouldn't be worried about Jackson's social skills at this age! A lot of toddlers are exactly the same way, testing their boundaries and understanding the difference between an adult and someone their size. Their playstyle is very self-centered so they aren't really aware that another person is there to "play with or meet". All about themselves at this stage 😂. He will learn as he gets older and has more social outings with children!

  • I saw the clip of Tim taking Jackson out of the car seat and happen to see the bin on the shelf with all the lightbulbs in them. I messaged you guys before about how dangerous that is because the CFL bulbs contain mercury and if they break that can leak. Please do not leave them like that. It worries me.

The more you socialize with other people with kids, the better it'll be! :) Don't get discouraged. • Oh guys, don't blame yourselves. At Jackson's age it is totally normal he doesn't understand that the things he does(like pulling himself up on that other kids shirt) are not ok or are maybe hurting the other one. Totally normal! That being said, of course you shouldn't encourage that, but you don't do that so I don't see any problems in it. He'll be fine! He will eventually understand it all, he just doesn't have 'empathy' yet. That comes at a much later age and is even different from kid to kid. So don't worry! And once he'll be going to school, he'll be learning things SO fast, you'll be amazed. :-) Just keep doing what you do, he is already learning so much thanks to you and just keep encouraging him to keep learning! Don't give up. You are doing great. He is so loved and he gets to explore and learn so much and don't forget: these times are extremely difficult as well now with Covid so, don't feel bad please. He is happy, healthy and growing so much, both fysically and mentally. You are doing the best you can and I adore watching you raise him :-) xx
